1977- Round 1- Pick 1– Lee Roy Selmon– Hands down, the greatest player to ever wear a Bucs uniform. He is the only Bucs player in the Hall of Fame; for now! Grade A+ 
1978- Roune 1- Pick 17- Doug Williams– Took the Bucs to the Playoffs in his sophomore season and 3 of 4 years they were in the playoffs too. The Bucs won 4 games in two years after he left. 
1981- Round 2- pick 34- James Wilder– Still holds the record for most yards in a season, for both 1984 and 1985. Wilder WAS the offense back then, and teams still couldn’t stop him. 
– Paul Gruber– Simply put, Gruber is the best offensive lineman this franchise has ever had, perhaps to be surpassed by some of present day starters. Gruber toiled in annonymity on teams that rarely won. He finally made the playoffs at the end of his career. 
1995- Round 1- Picks 12 & 28– Warren Sapp & Derrick Brooks were the best one two punch draft picks ever in the history of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both are sure to be considered for Hall of Fame status some day. They revolutionized the Tampa Two defense created by Tony Dungy and Monte Kiffin. BUSTS- BAD MOVES- and overall DISASTERS! 
1983- Traded away the 1984 First round pick for Backup QB Jack Thompson, who would end up losing out the QB battle to Jerry Goldstein, and then after taking the QB job back, lost it again in 1984 to Steve Deberg. Bengals traded the pick to New England, who took Irving Fryar. Thats Irving Fryar and Willy Gault that could have been on the Bucs. 
1982- Traded away 1983 1st round Pick to pick 32nd in 1982 for Booker Reece. Player eventually selected was Willie Gault, WR. The Bucs had some kind of intel that Reece was going to be a super pass rusher. Instead, he could not remember his lessons past the afternoon. By the time he came back to the practice field the next day, everything he had learned was forgotten. 
1986- Round 1- #1 overall Pick- Bo Jackson– He told the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not to pick him, he sent them the word, and it was ignored. A still upset Doug Williams had warned Mr. Jackson that the Bucs ownership was cheap.
