My seats in the lower bowl of FedEx Field were so good that I could see everything on the field without need for field glasses. I took them to games anyway to check out the First Ladies of Football. So, I was pleased to read that Washington Redskins cheerleader Monique Thompkins was crowned Miss District of Columbia USA 2012. Thompkins will represent the District in the Miss USA 2012 in Las Vegas in June.
I haven’t read this news on the official team site. We are posting it here as a service to the public…because what is football without cheerleaders! (That’s a statement, not a question.)
Conspiracy theorist that I am, I say that the District fathers rigged this to lure the Redskins back to town, right? (That’s an unfounded accusation, not a question.)
None of that diminishes Ms. Thompkins’ victory. Congratulations, Monique. HAIL!
