He is a taller quarterback, so he has some issues with his knees being hit, but he is able to move pretty well in the pocket. He took his team with a stagnant run game to a very good football team this previous season and mostly on his arm.
He is an elite arm for the NFL. I like his ability to see the whole field and his ability to change his arm angle when needed to make the passes. I would like to see him improve on his deep ball throws, but I truly like his leadership skills and his ability to lead a difficult offense. He took a team that was good when he took over and made them better.
That proves to me that he continues to work at his job and get better each game. His interception number was the same for his sophmore and junior year, but his touchdown number actually went down from his sophmore to his junior year, but he hit more short passes and intermediate passes which was able to set up a run game. It also allowed defenses to game plan from his sophmore year to his junior year about how to defend him.
They tried to take a way a lot of his options longer down the field and left short routes open and he did the good decision and dropped the ball off and let his wide receiver do the work. His footwork is very good for his height and he can evade defenders with good regularity. He could start right out of the draft but I would like to see one year as a growing year.
