After the success and fun of last year’s 1st ever “Celtics Sneaker Madness”, we’re back for another run. Once again, 32 of the best pairs of Celtics kicks from last season will go head-to-head. Your votes will decide which kicks move on to future rounds and which pair are voted the dopest of the 2011-12 season. It’s pretty simple: myself, Scott aka “Celtkicks”, and the rest of the RedsArmy staff put together 32 “seeds”. Each seed is a pair of kicks that were rocked by a Boston Celtic player last year. The readers will vote, via an internet poll, on which kick deserves to move on to the next round. At the end of it all, one pair will be chosen as the freshest, cleanest, baddest pair of Celtics sneakers from last year. This shoe, released during All-Star week as part of Nike’s “Galaxy Pack”, created pure hysteria. It’s unique design, limited quantities and pure freshness sent the sneaker community into a frenzy. People offered tons of cash, cars and just about anything else they could to try and cop a pair of these. Rondo busted them out for ASG in Orlando.
#32 seed: Rajon Rondo Nike Hyperenforcer home p.e.
The Hyperenforcer was a popular shoe amongst the Celtics. Brandon Bass, Chris Wilcox and a few other C’s rocked Nike Basketball’s new high-tech shoe last season. It features Nike’s revolutionary Flywire and Fuse technologies. This pair was made exclusively for Rondo and features his “9” on the tongue.
